Broadlink RM Tasker Trial Description
Broadlink RM controller are cheap controllers able to learn & retransmit IR and RF signal, making it possible to control several home appliances with ease. However, it has never been possible to program and customized the experience outside of their proprietary Broadlink eControl apps.
Not any more! With this Tasker plugin, you can configure these RM Controller to work exactly the way you want it, when you want it.
Friendly APIs are provided for custom integration with whatever home automation system you are using.
☑ Compatibility
Compatible with Broadlink RM2, RM Home, RM Pro, RM3 Mini (BlackBean), SP2, SPMini, Contros (appears as SPMini).
S1, A1 & other sensors will supported in future version via HTTP Bridge or web console only, not as a State Trigger Tasker plugin.
☑ Widget
This let you add a widget/button on your home screen to directly control Broadlink RM at a few simple clicks.
☑ Amazon Echo Integration
This app acts as a bridge between your Amazon Echo & Broadlink devices and let you control supported Broadlink devices with your voice. Simply enable this feature & tell Alexa to "discover devices".
☑ HTTP Bridge
This app acts as a HTTP Bridge and let you control your Broadlink devices via simple HTTP urls (a.k.a curl commands). API syntax are extremely user-friendly and well-documented right inside the app. It is now much easier to integrate RM device into your home automation setup.
☑ Web Console [Beta]
Manage your devices & code via the built-in web interface powered by HTTP Bridge.
If you want to access it remotely, simply turn on port-forwarding on your router and use Basic Authentication to protect your access.
☑ 3G Bridge (version 0.8.0 and above)
You can control your Broadlink RM devices even from outside of your home WiFi network, as a Tasker plugin or a homescreen widget. You'll simply need to enable a Bridge device within your home WiFi network. Refer to screenshot and in-app FAQ for more details.
☑ Import existing data from Broadlink app
You don't have to painstakingly re-learn all the IR or RF you have done with Broadlink eControl app. This plugin takes data directly from Broadlink eControl app without you having to manual copy & paste anything. Once you're done with that, you can even uninstall Broadlink eControl app entirely.
☑ Upcoming feature
Direct integration with Amazon Echo
WARNING:
This can be used both as a plugin in Tasker or a standalone app.

I get a message everytime telling me that I need to add a remote in the Broadlink app, but I have lots of remotes there. I tried adding a new remote but I just get the same message. Any idea why?<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Farhan An Nahar:</span> Great! Latest version still not working on mobile network. But this is way faster than the official app itself, and much more. I'm getting the full version for sure. Hopefully the dev will get it sorted out soon.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Tertius Hyman:</span> It works! Installed the trial, had an issue, mail the dev, got an update within hours, tried again, worked, bought full version! The missing link in my home automation system!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Mark Traverse:</span> I am really thrilled with this app, it works very well and its capability has been elegantly designed. I particularly like the HTTP API and have written my own python wrapper which consumes the plugins functions and allows me to integrate my existing IRRF control system. With a few more additions this will be perfection... --Simple MQTT event publishing to enable state monitoring --MQTT Bridge - exposing API functions over message broker --Add missing functions on HTTP Bridge - need to be able to populate codes, macros, and alexa from other machines. Keep up the good work - marvelous!!!!!! Oh, I nearly forgot. Would also be nice to be able to receive IFTT events from the Alexa 'trigger' command. This as a way of getting round the ON or OFF restriction. ie Alexa trigger TV Channel five<br /><br /><span style="color:red">:</span> Useless after latest update! Worked fine in version 1.6.8 but updating to 1.7.x it has lost all my devices. Unable to add devices back. Alexa bridge has stopped working. Alexa finds devices then loses them again. Http bridge doesn't work on the update either. Very disappointed. Can't believe I am paying for this. Gonna try and roll back to 1.6.8!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">:</span> After looking for ages and trying many different ways to link my amazon echo dot to my home automation system controllef via a broadlink rm hub I have finally found something very easy to setup and works brilliantly! Hats off to the creator, they must have worked hard on this!<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Ron Auble:</span> Downloaded this app because it's support the BroadLink IR blaster. It works ok and does retrieve setup data from the BroadLink device nicely. I didn't see it as an improvement over the BroadLink app for me. It may appeal to Tasker users however.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Muhammad Firdaus Nordin:</span> Great app however there is room for improvement. I love the app. It great. However may i suggest the below. 1) To have a code button in the main app. 2) To have backup function. 3)To have export code button. I feel this is essential for your app.<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Chris Attard:</span> Finally a Tasker plugin for Broadlink<br /><br /><span style="color:red">Mihály Orosz:</span> Perfect plugin Hi! Your tasker and plugins are just awesome!<br /><br />
