This was a very useful app for syncing my SD card to my computer, until 4.4.2 came along. Unless you just want to sync the stuff on the internal storage on your phone, it is now a waste of time. I waited to see if there was going to be a"fix" for this from the developers. It is now time to look for something different and update my rating. I emailed them months ago and still no response. Unless this is free and will do what you want (check carefully) then try other apps. Sorry to see this go down the tubes

Dana Longever: Great app After first backup can backup changes in 10-20 minutes. I cheated on first backup by putting SDcard in reader and copied to destination folder on PC. Then been syncing from tablet to PC after every recovery backup. No plugging cables, no pulling SDcard. Can use tablet while it works in background.

Del Hersey: Won't work with external SD cards after Android 4.4 You can kiss your major functionality goodbye if you sync to an SD Card. Google changed the access rules on 4.4.2. Goodsync can't see the card anymore. Goodysync support response was basically a shrug of the shoulder and "so sad too bad". VERY UNHELPFUL SUPPORT.

Max S: Good but still needs improvement Drains battery on nexus 7 while no such issue on Samsung note 10.1. Cannot setup link from mobile device or initiate sync from mobile device. Otherwise great for file transfer.

Lawrie Mann: Works great but....... when running all the time on my Galaxy S4, my battery life is cut in half. However, does a great job of syncing.

celina cotterill: interested about sky. Celina great just downloaded your helpful sync, am looking forward to using it as I know nothing about file's sync. My email address is celinakimcotterill@gmail.com. would be very interested in the New sky backup. Thanks.

Rob Alfieri: You don't need a cloud! Backup mobile and PC devices quickly and easily without the need for a cloud. Goodsync has been developing amazing file transfer software for years. Its performance and ability to compress data make it lightning fast... And it's secure!

Bobby Goines: Perfect backup solution! I have this set up to back up all of my photos and videos from my phone to my home server. Works great and performs flawlessly!

Sean McLean: Wildly insecure Just don't install this. Just dont.

Elad samuel aviv: No widget

Jeff Jones: Awesome

Rick Allen: Easy and simple synching of files between Sony Tablet and PC (also Mac) Works like a dream over wifi for backing my tablet up to my PC. After the first sync, it backs up only the changes. You can make it a one way backup or 2 way.You can see all the files on the PC (it is not in an inaccessible container) and you can tell it not to back up certain files as well. Rock solid, reliable app from one of the best app developers. In another league compared to the buggy tablet backup app from Sony. Well worth the investment in the desktop app. I highly recommend Goodsync. I have been using it to sync files to and from USB drives, and for backups on my PC for at least 8 years. (I also use and RoboForm for passwords - also a great very reliable app).

Adi Shevach: Does not Sync via USB, such a basic thing, Sync through server takes ages to complete!\tYou should find a USB solution ASAP!!!

Dane Hardinge: Universal synching is here I just synched with my S3 and Samsung 10 inch tablet. So simple and it even got to the elusive extsd cards. At last a simple reliable method. Used and paid for Good sync for years on PCs to backup music and photos. Never failed. I have tried other (free) products but always go back for GS. Roboform is from the same company and that is wonderful too. It cannot replace Isyncr for iTunes playlists so that stays as well.

J D.: Great functionality, fast transfer! Over LAN transfers faster than traditional SMB style sharing. Is there any chance of adding Goodsync Android client in the future? Oh how I'd love that!

Estaban Gonzalez: No limits I can dump all my data from my phone to my local servers and than push it to the cloud.

Justin Brown: Fast synch over wifi This app requires GoodSync which is not free but completely worth the price. Keeps many desktop and laptop folders in synch, and now mobile device folders as well.

Irslan NAB: Stay Synched A great app that helps me keep synched my important documents. I can almost synch any thing to android. All SD cards are visible including the system root folder. Thumbs up goodsync team.

Brad Ling: Very useful I use GoodSync to efficiently keep all my files in sync across my Galaxy S4, iPad, Mac, external hard drive, and USB thumb drive! The Mac/PC client might seem complicated at first, but now every one of its features are so useful!

Elias Lallos: Good, but needs Wifi-only mode Works very well, but the app desperately needs an option to run only when connected to wifi. It's easy to forget the app is still running, then later realize its been consuming data on 3g or 4g. Additionally, there should be an option to turn off the notification bar icon like countless other apps allow - things can get cluttered up there very quickly.

Andrei Zagrai: Nexus 7 sync This is the only app that allowed properly to sync files with my Nexus 7. Nexus family of tablets/phones, to my opinion, has an internal flaw with file timestamps. If you copy (from PC to Nexus) a file created a year ago, Nexus will always consider it as created during the current copy procedure. There are countless posts on this issue with users not able to get their files, pictures, etc. in order. Without proper synchronization, Nexus is basically a toy for film viewing or a convenient tool to check e-mails. If you want to do some work while travelling, you need proper synchronization and GoodSync comes close to it. Although it does not resolve issue with timestamps on Nexus, GoodSync keeps track of file modifications and would synchronize them correctly.

Tom Krwawecz: Makes file syncing simple, flexible Easily allows me to keep backups of Titanium Backup and TWRP files. All stored on my laptop and desktop computers for safe keeping. Absolutely love the application. Been using the desktop version for years.

Eric Eric: Keeps turning off(Fixed) - Battery Uage higi Start with I LOVE Goodsync. First I gave one star due to the application shutting down in the background this was resolved and bumped to 5 star but may have been premature to go that far so I am moving to 3 stars. This is because of the battery consumption. Currently it is the top consuming app on my Galaxy note 2 which I can't afford on such a power hungry phone. I have been trying to get consumption down by combining sync jobs and moving some from Sync on file change to periodically but am thinking I will need to not use the functionality to sync on file change as I presume this is what is consuming so much. I'll try to report back with my trials and errors.

Marvin Hankins: Simple but effective I found this app after Windows Live Mesh was abandoned by Microsoft. Pros: You can automatically sync/backup/share files between your Android devices and PCs and it's FREE!!! (you will have to buy the PC app after 30 days but it's a one time $30 charge w/no monthly fees if you don't need cloud storage on their servers. You can make your own "personal cloud" by automatically making additional copies of important files for redundancy and file backup/protection). Cons: Interface seems simple and limited - see update below. Update: Changing from 4 to 5 stars. After playing with it more on the PC I found I can browse, open/view, copy, delete, upload/download files/folders on my Galaxy SII using the GSExplorer on the PC. What's lacking in the Android app interface is more than made up for in the PC interface. It looks like you could use this app for many purposes including music sync (which I haven't tried yet).

Sam Hunt: At last Finally, GoodSync on Android, and it's fab. Has solved my problems of how to get stuff onto my phone wirelessly, and via my network (not the internet). Needed a bit of a poke with some settings, and older versions for a bit unstable, but newer releases have made it solid and fast.

Juan Guardado: If you love Goodsync then you'll love this on your Android It's the best way I've found to keep all my devices synced and backed up without having to spend on expensive (50+ GB) cloud storage. And the new version *does* work with external SD cards.

Jim Barton: Backs up and syncs everything Installed on my nexus 4 and nexus 7, I can back up what I want over WiFi. Or I can use goodsync explorer on my desktop to browse all my folders from 0 on down. I do have to remember that it connects over WiFi not by usb and to turn it on, and off afterwards but that is a small price to pay.

Darrow Kirkpatrick: Excellent Tool Simple setup, works well, great being able to sync my devices wirelessly.

Steve Coder: Glad I discovered this but... I have been using GoodSync for years and it is the perfect application for backups, and just discovered this app on a visit to the Goodsync site and seeing the "google play" icon... it wasn't obvious, but glad I found it. It would be ideal if there was a way to plug an external drive directly to the android device and sync without need of a desktop. This would be like what the desktops are able to do. Maybe I am just missing something?

A Google User: app2sd capability Yes!

A Google User: Cable Free Syncing Works like a charm, no more juggling cable and multiple connectors. Syncs to both my internal and removal cards. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7/LG Ignite.

A Google User: Very good app Very good app to sync files between PC & ANDROID. One suggestion - since all devices are connected on local LAN - allow sync between 2 ANDROID devices (phone & tablet etc). Also have file explorer build-in so that we can browse on phone/tablet also.

A Google User: Almost It does work but you can't access the other sdcards, only the internal sdcard. Which make this app useless for the being. Overall Goodsync is a Top Ten App.

A Google User: Works great again... This works brilliantly with Goodsync on the pc. I've been after this for a whole, thanks.... Tested also on nexus 7 l. Thanks for the fix too :-)

A Google User: Nice Version 1.5 works very well on galaxy nexus

A Google User: Does not work on my T101 Connection error.............

A Google User: No SD Card support As Zeronic wrote, GSS will not recognize the user-inserted SD card. Pretty useless. Love GoodSync for my other platforms. (Galaxy s3, Sandisk 64GB microSDXC)

David Brenneman: Used to be a good company n product Paying for a new version every time is ridiculous. No signs at all that they reward customer loyalty by doing so.
